Community members are invited to join Gary Washburn, longtime Honokaa High School Jazz Band director, at a launch party for his new album, “Sassy,” on Nov. 17 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Cafe Il Mondo in Honokaa.
Entertainment will be provided by Washburn, along with saxophonist Jesse Snyder, a featured musician on the CD, who also plays with Grammy-nominated Hawaiian swing band Kahulanui. Also performing will be vocalist Maelan Abran and other musicians who played a part in the album.
There is no cover charge for the premier event.
